JC Beal Construction Inc., founded in 1962 and with offices in Detroit and Ann Arbor, provides a broad range of General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design Build services to commercial and institutional clients throughout Michigan with an emphasis on existing buildings in urban areas. Significant recently completed redevelopment projects by JC Beal Construction Inc. include the mixed use 34 story 125 Apartment Unit Broderick Tower Re-development (on which we also acted as development manager) at Woodward and Witherell in Detroit, a major infrastructure project at the Detroit Windsor Tunnel, and the 333 unit Atlanta Airport North Holiday Inn and Suites Hotel .
We have developed an extensive list of trade contractors specialized in our type of work, and we train all own our personnel to deal with “old building” issues, including structural concerns, restoration techniques and materials, and health and safety issues like asbestos, lead contamination, and mold. We complete our projects in a timely and cost effective manner.
Many of our projects rely on State and Federal Rehabilitation (Historic) Tax Credits, New Market Credits, State Community Re-vitalization Program Funds, and/or similar sources. We are familiar with both the technical and procedural aspects of these various programs and have the staff experience to assist our clients in their efforts to qualify for and secure these resources.
