JC Beal Construction LLC, founded in 1962 and with offices in Detroit and Ypsilanti, provides a broad range of General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design Build services to commercial and institutional clients throughout Michigan and NE Ohio with an emphasis on existing building renovation and new mixed use building infill construction in urban areas.

Significant redevelopment projects completed by JC Beal Construction LLC include the mixed use 34 story 125 Apartment Unit Broderick Tower Re-development at Woodward and Witherell in Detroit, and the new construction 51 unit Kingsley Condominium Project in Ann Arbor, a major infrastructure project at the Detroit Windsor Tunnel, and the 333 unit Atlanta Airport North Holiday Inn and Suites Hotel.

We have developed an extensive list of trade contractors specialized in our type of work, and we train all own our personnel to deal with “old building” issues, including structural concerns, restoration techniques and materials, and health and safety issues like asbestos, lead contamination, and mold. We complete our projects in a timely and cost effective manner.

Many of our projects rely on Federal Rehabilitation (Historic) Tax Credits, New Market Credits, Michigan Community Re-vitalization Program Funds, and/or similar sources. We are familiar with both the technical and procedural aspects of these various programs and have the staff experience to assist our clients in their efforts to qualify for and secure these resources.

Established in 1965 as Thalner Electronic Laboratories, Inc, TeL Systems designs and builds commercial audio-visual, sound and digital distribution systems. We build video studios, conference rooms, auditorium and stadium sound systems, video streaming systems, digital video signage and recording systems. We have a fully-staffed repair, maintenance and customer service center in addition to our fully-staffed CAD-based engineering and design department. We are employee-owned.
