The Washtenaw Contractors Association will recognize the outstanding performance of firms and individuals working in the construction industry in Washtenaw County by presenting its PYRAMID Awards on March 19, 2010. The Awards will recognize exceptional effort in the areas of teamwork, service and innovation. In addition, the Washtenaw Contractors Association will present the 2010 W. Nelson Vander Hyden Award to an individual who has made significant contributions to both the construction industry and the local community.
PYRAMID Awards will be presented in three categories: Best Project Team, Best Subcontractor and Best Innovation. The criteria for each of these categories are presented below. Please note that nominated contractors or subcontractors must be members of the Washtenaw Contractors Association. (Membership is not a requirement for Owners or Architects.) Self nominations are encouraged, since projects are best understood by those who are directly involved in the challenges they present. Eligible projects and programs are those that were completed in calendar year 2009.
